Questions Patients Ask

Yes. You do not have to have a referral to access Clear Path Psychology Services. If you are seeking support without a referral you will be charged the standard consultation fees. If you have been referred to Clear Path Psychology (for example by a Doctor) you may be eligible for rebates with a valid Mental Health Care Plan.

Throughout your treatment, Clear Path Psychology will consistently seek your feedback about how you are feeling about your psychologist and your treatment generally.

Depending on the cover you have, you may be eligible for a rebate. Contact your health insurance provider to check what your cover includes

Yes. If you are experiencing low mood, anxiety or depression please speak with your doctor to see if your are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan.

Clear Path Psychology has a Schedule of Fees for your review.

No. You can only use one type of rebate for your consultation. Please check with your private health fund provider as there may be a bonus package that covers Medicare gap payments.

No. You must pay the full fee and then the Medicare refunds the rebate amount ($87.45). This rebate will be paid back into your account at the time of your session.

Yes, it is. There are limits to confidentiality which your psychologist will discuss with you at the commencement of your treatment. Your written consent to share information will also be discussed.

As a psychologist I do not prescribe medication.

Yes. We will need a referral for psychological services from your doctor and/or case manager and your claim number.

Please contact Clear Path Psychology to arrange the earliest available appointment and to have your name placed on the cancellation call list. If an earlier appointment becomes available we will contact you to offer you the appointment.

Please contact Clear Path Psychology as soon as possible to advise them of your inability to attend your scheduled appointment. You may incur a fee for non-attendance, or cancellation. Please see Clear Path Psychology’s Cancellation Policy LINK for further details.
